Jeremy J. Sydik grew up in the Lincoln, Nebraska area and is currently a software engineer for the Center for Instructional Innovation at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. In 1999, Jeremy received baccalaureate degrees from UNL in computer science and mathematics and has worked since then on issues of content development and interface design, leading him into his current masters program in educational psychology with a focus in cognition, learning, and development. He is particularly interested in the ideas of cognitive artifacts and learning interfaces and how they apply to conventional and new media classroom environments.
Jeremy has a fantastic wife of eight years named Kate, who is currently pursuing her masters degree in textiles at UNL, a son, Aidan, who is more interesting than he is, another daughter or son on the way, and a tattooed glue eating cat named Wasabi. When he manages to run into some spare time, he enjoys games, cooking, quilting, amateur radio, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jeremy's first book, Design Accessible Web Sites was published by Pragmatic Bookshelf in November 2007
